DIMENSIONAL FINE ARTIST PATRICK J. MURPHY FEATURED IN OFF TRACK GALLERY “HAPPINESS” EXHIBIT

Temecula, CA - January 10, 2017 - Patrick J. Murphy was so intrigued with the theme of the Off-Track Gallery February show that he created a new piece with “Happiness” in mind. Remembering how much fun he’d had playing with beach balls as a child, he began to envision “Cool Pool” employing his dimensional technique. The result will be on display at the gallery February xx through xx in Encinitas. It took Murphy more than two years to develop his unique approach to art, combining photography, digital painting, sculpted paper, acrylics and pastels that result in eye-popping, three-dimensional impressionist pieces. His healing artwork has the flavor of a Georgia O’Keefe painting with Murphy's childlike sense of discovery and playfulness. A nature lover, he creates with light - from the earth, woods, mist, shadows, sky, flowers and fire. "When I am creating a new piece, I feel as though I'm an observer watching the work emerge on its own, right before my eyes. I love to invite the viewer into the art," explains Murphy, with his characteristic twinkle. "I can't imagine not making art. I have a hunger to discover, understand and capture the spirit of that which is hidden inside everything in creation, and to present that essence in a way that delights the viewer." And delight he does! “Cool Pool” is the sunny antidote to any gloomy day. Murphy has completed commissions in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego and Temecula, California. He is currently accepting new commissions, and can customize the work to fit the needs of the client. The Off Track Gallery is the hub of the San Dieguito Art Guild. It showcases the work of more than 100 artists in a range of media, from digital art and watercolor to sculpture and jewelry. The Guild Members run the gallery on a volunteer basis.· During open hours there is always an artist available to answer your questions.· There is also information regarding joining the Guild and upcoming Guild events as well as the opportunity to sign up for gallery announcements via email.
