ROSE’S PASSION - Description I created Rose’s Passion in honor of my mother, a self-made woman and artist who loved flowers. She was the creative force who provided my first art lessons and encouraged me to follow my heart wherever it lead. My mother had many physical challenges but never considered herself handicapped. I chose roses because they are considered the most healing of all flowers. The brilliant reds and oranges I’ve used in Roses Passion capture her indomitable spirit. To create this work, I used a combination of multi-layered digital photo painting, sculpted archival paper, pastels, acrylics and watercolor. The 23"x29" piece is framed with acid-free, floating mats under museum glass. Hanging hardware is in place on the dimensional black wood gallery frame. Also included with the original is a Certificate of Authenticity and a photo of the artist creating Rose's Passion.
